Welcome to Restore Hand Therapy. By using this website (www.restorehandtherapy.nz) or buying from our online shop, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions apply to your use of the Restore Hand Therapy website and to all purchases made through our online shop. By placing an order, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, or that you have the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986.

2. Health information and product advice

  • Information on this website is general in nature and is not a substitute for a professional assessment or treatment plan.
  • If you are unsure whether a product is right for your injury or condition, please talk to one of our therapists or your health professional before buying or using it.
  • Always follow the instructions supplied with a product, and stop using it and seek advice if it causes pain or discomfort.

3. Products and orders

  • All products are subject to availability.
  • We may limit quantities or stop selling a product at any time.
  • Your order is confirmed once payment has been received in full.
  • We may decline or cancel an order, for example if a product is out of stock or a pricing error has been made. If this happens, we will refund you in full.
  • Product images are for illustration. Colours and packaging may vary slightly from what is shown.

4. Pricing and payment

  • All prices are in New Zealand dollars (NZD) and include GST.
  • Delivery charges are shown at checkout and added to your order total.
  • Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not see or store your full card details.
  • By making a payment, you confirm that you are authorised to use the payment method you have chosen.

5. Shipping and delivery

  • We deliver within New Zealand only.
  • Orders are usually dispatched within 1–2 working days. Delivery normally takes 1–3 working days in the North Island and 2–5 working days in the South Island and rural areas.
  • You will receive tracking details by email once your order has been dispatched.
  • Please make sure your delivery details are correct. We are not responsible for delays or failed deliveries caused by incorrect or incomplete addresses.
  • Risk in the products passes to you once they have been delivered to the address you gave us.

6. Cancellations, returns and refunds

  • You can cancel an order free of charge before it has been dispatched by emailing [email protected].
  • Change-of-mind returns are accepted within 14 days of delivery for unused items in their original condition and packaging.
  • For health and hygiene reasons, opened or used braces, splints, supports, tape, and exercise, massage and heat products cannot be returned for change of mind.
  • A 10% restocking fee applies to change-of-mind returns.
  • Faulty, damaged or incorrect items will be repaired, replaced or refunded in line with the Consumer Guarantees Act.
  • Refunds are made to your original payment method after we have inspected the returned item.

7. Privacy

  • We collect and use your personal information in line with our Privacy Policy, the Privacy Act 2020 and the Health Information Privacy Code 2020.
  • We never sell or rent your personal information.
  • We protect your information with appropriate security measures, and online payments are processed by a secure third-party provider.

8. Intellectual property

All content on this website, including text, images, graphics and logos, belongs to Restore Hand Therapy or its licensors and is protected by New Zealand and international copyright law. You may not copy, reproduce or use any content without our written permission.

9. Limitation of liability

  • To the extent permitted by law, Restore Hand Therapy is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this website or our products.
  • This does not limit any rights you have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, the Fair Trading Act 1986 or any other law that cannot be excluded.

10. Using our website

When using our website, you agree not to:

  • Break any law or regulation
  • Give false or misleading information
  • Interfere with or disrupt the website
  • Upload viruses or any harmful code

11. Links to other websites

Our website may link to other websites, such as ACC or product suppliers. Restore Hand Therapy is not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those websites.

12. Governing law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of New Zealand, and any disputes will be handled by the New Zealand courts or disputes tribunal.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date. By continuing to use the website after changes are posted, you accept the updated terms.
